STATEMENT
I’m a Tunisian citizen based in Gabes, I started my art career through theatre , then I chose the path of product designing in the higher institute of fine arts of Tunis , where i met a lot of young artists who inspired me to discover my own touch , which consists of playing with lines until I find the perfect rhythm out of the chaos. I usually use simple materials such as a ballpoint pen and different canvas , this time I experimented with an overhead projector ,straws (علف ), plexiglass paper and black marker. My intention is to show the different human emotional states that appears mostly through their face expressions in a repetitive way during our life time , insisting mostly on the polarity of those emotions such as happiness / sadness / calmness / anger …

SEE DJERBA YOUNG MASTERS
This year’s YOUNG MASTERS have been prepared for the first public art activities in a boot camp in Gabes in cooperation with DANCERS CITIZENS SOUTH. The long-term cooperation with DANCERS CITIZENS SOUTH — home in Gabes — and SEE DJERBA Media Art Project — located in Houmt Souk — is a pioneering initiative to address the imbalance of art and culture opportunities between Tunisia’s capital and its southern regions. Both organizations foster the networking of art and culture organizations in the South, create opportunities for artistic expression, develop talent and resources, and promote cultural decentralization. They feature transdisciplinary collaborations in media art, dance, and music, develop public art projects to revitalize southern urban spaces and provide mentoring and funding programs for emerging southern artists. In various co-operations, they seek to nurture and amplify southern Tunisia’s unique voices and creativity, where art and culture initiatives have historically been less prevalent. It nurtures a thriving arts scene in the south, celebrating local heritage while embracing contemporary forms of expression.
